I just got home to find my JP on the doorstep!!:)

I will have pics later, i promise;)

one question...why does the JP have a battery? is it for the piezeo?

and....i can put 10s on it without having to worry about the strings hanging up in the nut?

thanks...i'll be back later:D

Texas Finally!
Brent battery is for the peizo and 10`s would do the trick, though my new one is setup with 9`s thanks to DuBaldo

Heya Brent!

If its fresh from the store/factory, it should already have the 10's on it. If it was altered at some point and someone put a different gauge on it, it still shouldn't bind up in the nut, you may just have to do a slight truss rod tweak.

Enjoy! We want pics!

One thing i can say is that Mystic Dream is a bitch to photograph...:D

The guitar is killer...i decided to go w/ 10s. Like Beth said i had to tweak the truss rod a bit and the setup was pretty much right on.

The seller was very honest, it is in mint condition! The sound is incredible...the middle position, i was very surprised, the tone was really twangy...there isnt a coil split in that position, is there?

Anyway, everything is sweet! it is a lot lighter than i expect too. The piezeo sounds great too!

Here are some pics...

i'm pretty sure that in the middle position only coils 2&3 are active. so yes there is split coil.

nice guitar! the middle position is a bit "twangy"... best used for stuff like the middle rhythm section on dt's "strange deja vu" after the dive and harmonics... sounds real chunky!

Congrats Brent. It looks awesome!! I'm loving my JP here as well. Can't say I have a favorite as I love each one and what it does/offers. Does the JP feel more comfortable than any other EBMM you've had? Which model has been your favorite?

Nice JP Brent - I think the JP is my favorite model... Sooooo comfortable to play. A lot of little nuances that make it a great player.

Fantastic Brent!

Are you gonna foloww down my path?

Start off collection EVH's and then, after discovering the Pet, go nuts and start collecting them?
