Maybe even had their own sig. model. The #1 that comes to my mind is Steve Vai. Here's my list:

1. Steve Vai
2. Joe Satriani
3. Andy Timmons
4. Neal Schon
5. George Lynch
6. Al DiMeola
7. Allan Holdsworth
8. Brent Mason
9. Larry Carlton

Butch, there was a similar thread somewhere, I believe, in General Music Discussion. I can't remember the title, but it was similar to your title.

Naw...just letting you know that it's here somewhere in case you want to look for it. I took a quick look on search, but I couldn't find it.

EDIT: Found it.

After watching some video from the Royal Albert Hall premier last night, I'd be really interested in seeing David Gilmour playing an ASS, goldtop with MM90's.

Phil Keaggy.

ohhh +1, Beyond Nature is one of the best albums ever!! I don't even think it was a big album but whatever, I fall asleep listening to it at least once a week.

Ok and I wish a really good left handed guitarist would come out and he played a 7 string 24 Fret Ball and I could buy his signature guitar...pshhh yeh I totally expanded on the question.

Actually that is hard to say...

I mean a EBMM may inspire us... but then again other guitars inspire others. I hope they play whatever that inspires them to make good music.

That said... I definitely agree that more artist should try out some EBMMs

+1 for Marty Friedman! I think a 20th Silo would be a perfect fit for him.

Definitely wish both Joe and Steve were in *The Club*. I've been listening to a lot of Joe's stuff lately and man...can that dude play.

Messrs. Satriani and Vai both deserve the best!

Mr. Schon is no slouch either but to be honest, neither is anyone mentioned in this thread.

And...to be really REALLY honest, they seem to do OK with what they're currently playing!

Still, there's always room at the TOP:)!

First one to come to mind is Geddy Lee. He always gets some awesome bass tones no matter what he is using. A H H Stingray would be killer, especially on some of those early prog classics.
