Hey there. I think I bought my EB/MM in 1995. I thought I remembered the sales man telling me that it was a special but it doesn't say it on the neck. I've just had it sitting in the case ever since I bought it(an investment) and I am now curious as to the specs on it. The serial number is 96652(Burgundy finish). I was wondering what information you could give me on my little baby here. Everything is stock on it as I've only really played it a total of 1-2 hours. Anyways, thx in advance for any information you are able to give me.

Hey School, according to the serial number, your guitar is indeed an HSS Silhouette Special (the first ones did not have the word "Special" on the headstock). The finish is Pearl Purple and the fretboard is rosewood. It was completed on 6/16/95 and was originally shipped to Massimino Music in Fraser, Michigan. The body is made of alder, the tremolo would be Wilkenson and the locking tuners Grover.
