JPs sound killer with any amp, but especially a Mesa. I had a Mark IV for a while and it was too tight for my taste. I traded it for a Roadster...

Here's an old pic of the Mark IV and JPs:

I sold the Ibanez SZ in the back and bought a PRS CE22. Best move I ever made! I couldn't stand the thick full tone of the SZ...

Congrats on your JP and Mark IV! I loved the tone and portability of the MIV, but it was just too tight... (call me crazy)...

Wow...nice pics of those color changes! Good job :)

Thanks Aziah! I'm glad you like the pics. I love the guitar, and I'll definitely be missing it when I send it out to you guys this week to get fixed. I can't wait to have that baby back in my hands. By the time I get it back my new Mesa should be here as well, so it'll really be a treat, especially since my JP6 and Mesa were my big christmas gifts to myself ;).

those are stunning pics!!! i give you big props for taking pics in different angles, thus giving us those different colors your guitar has to offer.

also, congrats on getting your Mark IV. for sure you'll gonna love it. i also have one along with a 4x12 lonestar (loaded with Black Shadow Speakers) and i cant even tell you how great the tone is!!! Totally a dream come true for me.

Enjoy your Rig bro!!!

Peedo, I'm sure your Lonestar sounds great. I used to have a bunch of Mesa's a while back (First I had an early 2-channel Dual Rec, then I sold that to get a Triaxis/2:90, then I traded that for a 1991 Mark IV, then I went to playing bass so I sold all my guitar gear, now I'm back to playing guitar and just took back a Mesa Roadking 2x12 Combo to get the Mark IV Widebody Combo). What a journey its been. LOL. I got the Mark IV again because since I owned one, I know what settings sound great and I know what its capable of.

Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. I love this guitar so much and its definitely the best guitar I've owned and played. Now this is one guitar that is NEVER getting sold. Haha. I know I said that about my Bongo's and my Sterling, but its different about the JP. Since I got it I've barely been able to put it down, it just inspires me to write some crazy heavy riffs and play like I've never played before. Last night I started to take on the challenge of learning Dream Theater's "In the Presence of Enemies". It should be fun.

REALLY nice axe. Congrats. As much as I love the MD finish, I could never own one because I can't find a car to match. Right now my car matches my first JP....they need to match.;):p

Speaking of cars that match....my buddies neighbor has a Ford SVT Mystichrome Cobra, which are the same colors as the JP MD. I'm gonna try to get him to let me take a pic of my guitar next to his Stang sometime soon. If I succeed I'll post it up here.

I definitely agree with you on the comfort thing. I think the arm contour is the s**t. I love the fact that the JP6 is nice and light. This is definitely the best guitar I've played and owned. Everything about it is just amazing, the comfort, playability, tone, color. I def. see this baby staying in the household forever. Should be even sweeter once my Mark IV gets here.

Nice Phil and congrats!!! Beautiful new Mystic Dream you got there ;)

Could you by chance post some vids of you playing when you get your Mark IV, just to have a taste of what the JP sounds through a Mark IV with out additional effects. If not, thats fine.

I could try to post some vids. I don't have a web cam or anything, but my friend has a video camera, so when I get my Mark IV and my JP back from getting fixed, I'll do a video of the cleans, rhythm, and lead sound for you. Just keep me reminded, send me a PM every now and then if ya have to.

Alright Thanks Phil, much appreciated :D

Any time man. The Mark IV should be here in about a week to a week and a half. Can't wait. I'm gonna send my JP out to get fixed either tomorrow or the beginning of next week, so you might have to wait a bit for clips cuz I doubt the JP will be back by the time my Mark IV gets here.

What kind of guitar-strap is that ? I've been looking for a similar one, with those "clickers" or whatever it is called.

Nice guitar !
