New Silo.......well kinda

The time had finally come for my 12 yo's first real guitar. His first being a weird flying V type thing.
The mission, find an EBMM Silo special in green. Since my Delorian has not been running so great these past few years time travel was out of the question.
Lucky for me the search only lasted 7 months. A used guitar dealer I frequent often (online) came up with better than I hoped for, the deal was made and now it's here.

She's all wonder wiped up and restrung (RPS 10's).
He's a happy camper, thankfully his amp will be comming soon.
I know the rule......

From what I know this was stock EBMM hardware for these.

I would like Poppas take on why they changed those bridges.

Cause i think the VSVG sounds a bit 'hollow'

Classic saddles as are on the EBMM trems are better in my book

Great guitar. It's everything you described. I like the color, and I wish more attention would be given to green. I'm sure Lars will love playing it. If he doesn't, you know where to send it. BTW, why didn't you ask for that Peavey tube amp I have (other than the cost of shipping it)? It's just sitting around gathering dust. Anyway, nice score!

Because I'm an idiot and once again forgot about it.Is that the one I smashed with a hammer till it worked again?
He may want it anyways since "the amp" he's getting is not much to speak of. I'll call you and figure something out.

Yes. You should have jumped on it. The thing sustains for days. It needed a cleaning/ proper setup and a saddle screw. I took care of all of that, now the action is nice and low. The sustain improved 10 fold after my tinkerings. It truly sings on and on now.
Chris had it listed as replaced bridge and missing piezo. A quick call to CS informed me that it was infact stock as it was pictured.
I think Chris still has the SUB.

If I'm remembering correctly this is the way the earliest Silo Specials were labled on the headstock.

INMT - make sure you post the serial number and get the DOB - that is an early one. I loved that shade of green.

Yes. That probably makes it one of the earliest Silo Specs made.

Absolutely, this Pearl Green Silhouette Special was among the first few dozen shipped. It was completed on 6/16/95 and was shipped to Orient, Illinois, a long-defunct store called Ligon Guitars.

after envy green this is the next best green.my silo special is a '97 with the same hardware so they must have been made like this at least a couple of years
