since being back in woombi i haven't had a whole lot of chances to play with a good band. but last sat night i was in a jazz quartet for a christmas party, it was SO SO good!!! the guys i was playing with were awesome, the drummer and i were TIGHT! we played a few songs... id never played jazz before but i listened to a bit of frank beforehand and in practice it all just came together. anyway just wanted to let you all know that bass is hands down the most fun instrument ever he he, and its keeping me sane while im here. sad thing though... the drummer and the guitarist have gone to live in japan :(

ok so here are some pics....it was a ball so we got to dress up hee hee... but the tiara is a $3 plastic secret santa present lol!! i dont normally wear them ;)
first of all i have to apologise for the instrument.... i wish i owned an earthwood ;) i was wanting to play my bongo (its much more comfortable... my arms dont end up 2m in front of me) but with the whole jazz vibe the acoustic was requested.

anywhoo.... enjoy....

I don't know which is worse. You playing another bass or you listening to "a bit of frank beforehand" and then performing in front of an audience (jazz bassists blow me away). ;)

Way to go, Tiff. Cool pics!

Hey, hey, old man! I can salsa - can YOU?

And Tiffs, that dreadlocks-infested white boy got to play a Rickenbacker electric and you couldn't play a Bongo?

Ditch those posers.

lol i know!! marmite! hideous! but i wont be scorching my fingers on my steering wheel anymore, i miss my friends desperately, i can pop over to paris or prague much quicker, and i get to play my bongo every weekend with some amazing people.... so u know... it was a hard toss up london... tooowoomba... london... ah yep there ya go! :)

im taking the gold boy after spending about a week trying to work out how to get him there without the shipping costing me over $600 return!!! the english want to charge you 50quid to go and pick your bass up.... ur... what???? anyway, i paid an extra $200 to fly with etihad who let you take 30kg of luggage in economy WOO HOO!! so im so so so so excited i'll get to take him! i just have to work out a better case to take him in (he was one of the first in aus and didnt have the case) but all is good. i was even happy just to be able to take him and only hand luggage lol.... which of course would be full of shoes.:D

very excited reading about your 'little bit of extra work' bp ;) lol. is there anything you cant do??

Lol @ Jack -- I do bleeb he's jealous. Celoso. Geloso, jaloux, eifersüchtig.

You, Tiff, look GORGEOUS in your dress and tiara. It's great to hear you had a good gig and a lot of fun. Bummer about those guys leaving for Japan. Merry merry and have a great trip to London. I guess we'll see you around a bit before February, though, eh?
