Thanks for sharing all of that, and congrats again on not drinking. Here's to another 10,000 posts and me buying lots of your guitars in the future

Sterling,

Nice job recapping the last several years here on the forum. (I'd throw in some mention of your seated bass solo antics.. ;))

It's good to know this forum has rekindled your interest in MM. You can probably let Brian run the show at EB and 'play' at MM until you feel like golfing 24/7, seems like MM will prosper with Dargin at the helm. Drew and Jon are coming into their own under Dudley's watchful eye.. all you really need is a successor to Dan Norton -- if that's possible-- and the company will be set for another generation.

Thanks once more for your countless acts of kindness. I know there are probably 1000 of them for every one that we know about.. and you prefer it that way. So keep up the good karma.

I hope you'll start that book that we all want from you. Maybe have Jackson Williams write it and you can just call him at odd hours when you have a story to add to it. :D I really think someone ought to document your well deserved place in the pantheon of electric guitar and bass innovators.

Aw, shucks, BP - I have the warm fuzzies all over. Great post, sir, and hears to 10,000 more. I must say I have found this forum not only to be a resource, but also a community where knuckleheads like me and recognized artists can share thier avocation. Thank you for that!

Thanks for the great basses, too!!:)

BP - nice one - and thanks to EB for reigniting my music hobby.

I've enjoyed the stories, the gaffs made by some, the heartfelt sympathies in times of trouble.
- I'm having a good time here on the forum.

Here's to the next 10,000 and I hope one day we can share a pelegrino or two!!

Nice thread. I always look forward to friendly interaction with EB players from around the globe.

One thing BP touched on that I would like to mention is that this forum truly is special mostly due to the positive vibes and help sent out to those who need it most. I am happy to be a part of this internet community.

Sterling,

I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for opening my eyes to a whole new world, showing me that a guitar company DOES give a damn about it's customers and for making my time here special.

Congrats and thanks BP. This forum has been a wonderful place for me over the last 3 years. I've made new friends, been supported when my father died, gotten to hang out with some great guitar heros, and I have some really cool guitars as well. Heck, I think I now own more EBMMs than I do pairs of jeans. I can't thank you enough for your generosity, and all you've done for us here.

For what it's worth, I have now started noticing other CEOs and execs frequenting user forums for other products. I think you started something big here. I'm looking forward to several more years of fun!

Mike

Took the words right out of my mouth. Not many people do what you do. It takes some real cajones to make the products you have, and to keep your market the way it is. Keep it up, you are the man.

Mr. Sterling Ball, you the man! :)

I haven't been part of the family long, but I've felt at home since the first day of posting on here. I'm young, inexperienced, and probably say a lot of annoying things, but being here is still a wonderful experience and I look forward to many more great days of surfing this forum and interacting with some of the best people on earth.

Much love, guys. Thanks Poppa!

Congratulations, and many thanks, for all those posts. And I think I speak for 400 or so of us when I say that I feel rather honoured to be among those "fleeced" by the whole Dargie Delight episode:D. I wouldn't go back and change that decision for anything!

I look forward to meeting you at some Canucklehead get-together in the future!

We've had nasty fights. Bad ones. Right now the French hate me........

Please, do not draw conclusions for all Frenchmen ... There are still some very proud owners of Music Man guitars & bass in France. A few wankers did not play fair but some people are happy only when they are complaining.
Do not let them spoil this nice forum. :)

Well, I am waiting for your 20,000 post

As my new Ernie Ball shirt says : BALLS ARE BEST
