Got my EB strap locks (Pics Added)

Huge thanks to Pete DuBaldo for hooking me up.

What can I say?...they're great.

I like the Dunlops, but don't like the clip that holds the strap on, and the EBs don't have that. I can't tell you how many times I've almost gouged my hand with a screwdriver trying to get that Dunlop clip on or off. The EBs have a nut that holds your strap on like the Schallers, which made me nervous at first because my Schallers used to loosen up and the "horse shoe" thing would end up up-side down and my bass would drop like a rock, but the EBs have a locking mechanism similar to the Dunlops so even if the nut came loose while playing, you wouldn't have to worry about your strap coming off.

I like that you have to push both release buttons to release the lock.

Also, another big plus is that the EBs will work with the larger-diameter Dunlop button screws so if you already have Dunlops you can switch to EBs and just use the Dunlop screws.

Even though I'm of the opinion that the rule doesn't apply to accessories, I'll try to get some pics tonight and hopefully get them to you tomorrow at the latest...

rule 1: the pic rule always applies
rule 2: in the case that pic rule may not apply, refer to rule 1

:D

Got my straplocks, got my straplocks, got my straplocks.....don't let me be the first to post real photos, you slackers!

Installed on my ComfortStrap (I love that thing) and one set on the 20th SR5. Works good! (Of course.) Looks great! (Of course.)

I have to decide what bass gets the other set.....thinking, thinking, thinking.

Jack

PS: Thanks, Pete!

Snazzy. This is probably a stupid question but can strap locks remain on when you put your bass back in its HSC, or are they too big?

Ah, sorry, I now see that Bryan has edited his original post to include photos.
Good work!

(But mine are black and so infinitely cooler, so there.)

Roon, the receivers are about the size of a normal strap button so will fit if you put your bass in the hard case. (In fact, they're smaller than the Dunlops I have everywhere.)

If you mean with the strap on.....dunno. I'd take the strap off anyway, though.
