I'm pretty sure that the JPs are the only BFR's with paint on the back of the neck. and that has to do with the neck wood etc...

I'll venture a guess that since they're available with maple boards, the necks will be natural. I'm more so wondering if the necks will be figured, though Scott probably would've mentioned that in his description, if so.
