I had fun hanging at your site Ernie. Good job. And yes I agree that pulling all these out to take pics is a bitch. But a lot of your pics did turn out very good. I think any way.

Nice work Ernie, great collection.

Now how do you manage a collection like that, do they all get played or do they pretty much stay in their cases all the time?

I can see a vision where you walk into a huge room with your guitars covering every inch of wallspace :)

very great, thanks for sharing your collection, although we knew most of them from your thread you started a while back with pix of all your guitars.

Love the black fire proto

Ernie great job on the site man!!!! You have some excellent pictures there.

So what colors are you missing?? I see you located the Gold Sparkle, congrats, I remember you were looking for that at the Open House. ;)

Thanks guys! It was fun doing the site, even though I didnt know what the heck I was doing for the most part as far as putting a website together. They only provided 3 gallery/multimedia pages, that's why some pic pages are just inserted images.

I'm gonna tweak it some more as I learn.

Ernie-

Fantastic collection! No doubt about that.

I'm a photographer, so I'm pretty critical about images. I would suggest shooting some of the guitars on a dark background....it will help some of the colors pop a little more. Those that you shoot with a white background, try to use a plain white sheet instead of something with a pattern in it....so as not to distract from those amazing jp's! Avoid shooting in the sunlight (it looks like some of the shots were taken in direct sunlight..or window light).

Try this....if you have a large window that gets good light, use it as your lightsource....it even helps to have a white sheet hanging over the window to act as a diffuser (softens the light to give a nice even soft glow without real harsh shadows). Keep your subject generally facing the lightsource. Use a tripod with no flash! If you are shooting digital, learn to use the histogram....it will yield you perfect exposures. On your sparkles, change your angles a bit...move the guitar or the camera around until the sparkle just jumps at you....even the metallics will react differently. Don't forget to showcase some of the curves of these guitars...instead of just head on shots. Move some furniture around if you have to..you will be much more satisfied with the results.

Obviously you are taking the time to showcase these beauties, take your time with the photography as well. Good images of these guitars will only make you appreciate your efforts (and the guitars) that much more. And you don't need an amazing camera to pull it off....though judging from your guitar collection, you probably have a nice camera.

Great start.....I applaud your efforts!

Jeremy

Thanks for all that info. You're right about taking the time to do it right. I will def. put your advice to use.

Cap', I'm on optimum online and the site builder they provide is just called SiteBuilder Plus 3.0. Maybe it's something they cooked up.

Ernie great job on the site man!!!! You have some excellent pictures there.

I don't need any of the discontinued colors. Need 2 BFR's which are on order and all of the new finishes. Getting those new ones will take some time.
