found this one during an endless youtube zapping session:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZOfx3vSh_o]YouTube - Metallica - Hit the Lights + Robert's Intro!![/ame]

you can jump in at 2:48 for the SR5.

i've always liked Rob on bass, especially the Infectious Grooves days. it's fun to see him on a SR5 and not those ugly looking ones he usually play.

I do love rob's style, and a stingray really seems to suit him tonally, though i have no idea how he gets that tone out of a tobias amongst other things!

I haven't seen Metallica since the early 90s. It sure seems that James voice has changed dramatically. (Not better or worse, but way different on those old songs.)

Inectious Grooves were awesome!!! I saw them back in '92 in LA. They recorded one or two songs that night and it appears on Sarsippius' Ark. Personally I think The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move is one of the best albums of the 90s! "You Lie And Your Breath Stinks". :)

Indeed. I really liked his playing during the Infectious grooves era.
And never understood why he didnt pick up an SR5. Really suited his stylie of playing imo.

Does he really know that he is the best musician in Metallica now? (by far)

I loved the remark during the rehearsals. Wowwww you can play that with your fingers? hahaha

Rob actually used his old trans teal SR5 alot back in the Suicidal days, and some on the early infectious stuff.

with a nick such as Caca de Kick, i really don't expect you to know anything about the groove that makes ya booty move!

ohhhhh weeee!

In the Somekind of Monster film you can see him audition with this SR5 that came from the Metallica guitar storing room. The tech setup it and said that they collect more than 500 guitars...

anyway, with the SR5, he sounds very good. In the DVD that came with St-Anger which is all the songs played live, and better IMHO, the first song, Frantic he plays the SR5 and in another one that I don't remember. The bass really shines on those.

it is sad that he didn't record Death Magnetic with a Music Man, that could have made his bass sound less muddy. At least we heard him! And for the analysis I made from the DM, he is a very good player.

I have an old Bass Player magazine with Trujillo on the cover with a blue SR5.
One of my favorite players.

That Bassplayer cover (great pic) and their review of the SR5 in another issue (I think it ranked very highly in the shootout) were big factors in my eventual purchase of this wonderful instrument.

Yup, once in a blue moon someone realizes I picked "Caca de Kick" from an Infectious album...it's what I was listening to at that moment I needed a corny internet name.

Scraggy, you need to find yourself some Infectious Grooves discs, Robert's playing will leave you speachless.
