I had wondered this too. I had heard that a couple left handed models were made for him, but he never played them live...didn't feel right to him since he had been playing the right handed version flipped upside down since day 1.

I think I remember seeing pictures of him, when he was really young and traveling as a band member for some singer-or-other, and he had a Gibson semi-hollow lefty. He was probably 16 or 17 at the time.

I was always tempted to undertake a guitar project in industrial design, but knew I could never do it to my satisfaction in the amount of time we had for a project. I would've never finished in time because I would be obsessing about the details.

There are also the other costs that are usually not openly discussed, like therapy & Counselling to all Righties for having to look at pics of the LH versions

i think a class action lawsuit against psy ward would solve most of those problems.. gheheh
just think of the emotional damage he has inflicted upon most of us..
