I am very interested in these strings. My set of choice are Regular Slinkies. I have read that the tone of the titanium-cotaed strings is great. Is it different than Regular Slinkies? What's the diffrerence?

Butch -- there is VERY little(if any) tone difference. We wanted the new coated electric Slinky strings to have the same bite as non-coated Slinky strings. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how great the new Titanium-Reinforced Coated-Electric Slinky (say that 5 times fast) strings sound and feel.

I have been using them on my Redrise JP for the past 2-1/2 weeks and I love them! I am still using the same set, and my finger oils haven't turned any of them black yet. Typically any brand of strings strings lasts 5 hours or less for me before they literally discolor and become rough to the touch, but I have close to 30 hours on this set and they are still shiny and smooth.
I have not noticed any difference in sound between the regular and coated strings.
Maybe this weekend I will restring the Dargie with them

I hear ya, the set I put on my Morse is great, no visible erosion and they feel nice after have being on for awhile.

I have been using the Super Slinky version of these on my Silhouette Special for about a month, and I really like them. They sound great. To me, it is comparable to a brand new set of RPS strings even after several playings.

This is great. I have been playing Cleartones on my electric. Elixir electrics always felt BLAH to me. Can't wait to get a set. It's been too long since my guitars have had Balls.

I'm new to Ernie Ball strings. I did some research and found that Hybrid Slinky(9-46) is what i require. But im wondering i should just buy the Nickel Wound strings or the new Titanium Coated ones. Okay, so, there will be no difference in the tone but the strings last longer?
Also, im not someone who changes strings regularly. I got my Epiphone Les Paul Custom guitar last year and never had to change the stock strings which are pretty decent. And i'd also like to know if the Titanium strings are really worth the extra cash.. they cost almost 3 times as much as nickel wound strings..

You have got to be kidding I had a Epiphone Les Paul and the first thing I had to do was change the strings, stock were crap, put on a nice set of super slinkys so much better.
Dont have that guitar anymore but that was before I found the world of MM guitars.
Hybrid is good what i use on my Al's.
And last where the hell are you buying strings from 3 times as much, you need a new source, they are only double the price I pay for pure nickel strings and sound great and last longer, send me a PM and I will send you a set
Quick question, and I apologize if this has been answered already and I overlooked it... Will these be available as single strings or as a 7 string set? I'm currently using a set on one of my 6 strings and I love them. I've had them on for about 2 weeks now and no discoloration or grime on them whatsoever, and my sweat usually eats up strings! Great job Ernie Ball!

I just ordered a set of Beefy Slinky coated titanium. I usually change strings when I finally break one, and with a Beefy gauge I expect no breakeage, ever. So I wanted the coated to maximize the string life. Looking forward to these.

I slapped a set on prior to a day-long rehearsal today. I'm digging them. We'll see how they stand up over the course of this week. But so far, so good!
I was set to order a set of Not Even Slinky's for my guitar tuned to B standard, but noticed that the .24 is plain and not wound. Why is that? I find that a wound string in that size sounds much better, especially for chording. So for now i am sticking with Elixer .12-.52's with a .56 in the place of the .52.

There is a wound & coated .024 in the Super Slinky package... maybe you can order singles, or find a dealer who can hook it up

Is it better to use EB String Cleaner wipes after a session on these or not ? Also, I have been using DR Extra Stringlife (liquid polymer coating) on my normal RPS's in the past. Will using this give positive/negative results ?

A question. Has anyone noticed that the Titanium Coated strings seem to have less tension as compared to the RPS in the same gauge? I ask because I've installed 3 sets in 3 different guitars so far, and all 3 seem to be a lot easier to bend. that could be a grip issue because they seem to be "stickier" than the RPS strings. If that's just it, then why is my JP6 trem a bit more pulled back than usual? (as in pulled towards the body) in the same pitch?
