So another nice knucklehead has done something for me this week

Tom (maddog) has sent me a Black Ice pickguard for my Bongo 4H which arrived yesterday in perfect condition. Thanks Tom! Haven't got it installed yet but I kow it's going to look killer on the Sapphire Black. Pics WILL follow!

Now all I've got to work out is how to get a bottle of Laphroaig over to Tom by way of payment :D

If anyone happens to be flying from Bristol UK to Wisconsin USA soon please let me know :D

Love this place

Glad it made it! The address got a bit dodgy as I was writing it because I ran out of room. Krazy UK addresses.

Get that pic loaded so we can see!

The Wife says Black Ice makes it look more grey (and what's wrong with grey? Ed.) which I think is true. The Abalone picks up the blue more in the Sapphire Black.

Guess what? I like both!! :D:D

What do you reckon Tom?

I see a dilemma.

They both look sahweet!

The ab lends a bit of color but that black ice blends well to give a nice sedate look, really complementing the sapphire.

switch 'em out when you need a change is what I say.

As a fellow Laphroig lover, bless you...however, unless its a special kind of Laphroig that isn't available over here, it would seem to make sense to send a less widely available (in the US) bottle. Otherwise it would probably make more sense, albeit less fun, to paypal Maddog money for a bottle.

Hmmm....

Getting Laphroiag to Wisconsin is no simple matter

Sending it (or one of the many other interesting and colourful options) direct from Scotland comes with all sorts of dire warnings that delivery cannot be guaranteed due to local alcohol laws and is done at the buyers risk.

Found a place in Chicago with a good choice of whiskies but no evidence that they can deliver to the frozen northern wastes of Manitowoc (or that they've even heard of it).

Found another place in California that proudly boasts they can "Deliver Nationwide"... *EXCEPT WISCONSIN*!!!

So what is it - whisky and cheese don't mix? Or are those supposed beer brewers in Milwaukee working to keep the harder stuff out?

Anybody from Michigan fancy swimming across the lake at night to deliver a secret bottle to Tom for me?
