This is one thing that I am absolutely lusting for and just could not help myself by posting about this. I know it was said millions of times and I am aware of this that EBMM decide to put out whatever they want as BFRs and that there are millions of options available.

I am absolutely pleased with the 20th Silo that I have and the regular Silo Special w/ piezo. These are pretty much the only 2 guitars that I will ever need to play whatever it is I want to. I refuse to play anything else!

I would just LOVE to lay my hands on a HSS Silo Special with a tone block! I know that LUKEs are offered and the ALs, but its not the same. I am just completely addicted to the Silhouette in every possible way. I will wait patiently for something like this to come out...and if it doesnt than thats fine because I already have 2 PERFECT guitars. (BP, when can I expect to see the Silo Special w/ the allmighty Tone Block??? hehehe J/K!)

Just wanted to lay out an open discussion about either the Silo Specials, tone blocks, 20th Silos....basically anything that you guys love about your EBMMs.

P.S. How about that Roasted Maple eh? No wonder the the GAS never ends, even if we already have perfect guitars...just LOOKING at the new colors and options is enough for me to want a new guitar without even playing or hearing it hehe.

Well, there's another question that begs to be asked... Should the BFR Silo spec be made with SSH or SSS or an interchangeable pickguard? Remember the 20th Silo was a departure in that aspect from the regular one.

I personally would love to see it basically like they did it with the BFR AL. Nice maple top, with a white pearl pickguard...and for me HSS all the way :).

True, but don't forget that for the 20th, they did away with the pickguard, and even the middle single... I have a feeling BP's not going to just slap on a maple top, throw in a mahogany toneblock and call it a BFR with the Silo Spec. I think he's going to throw a lot more stuff in there...

How can I forget hahaha, I look at the 20th every day :D! Again, those are the things that I personally would love to see, but BP and crew always pull through with amazing things that never disappoint. I openly welcome whatever comes out of the factory...and hey, if I dont like it, then there is plenty of other EBMMs for me to buy anyway. But I highly doubt that would be the case.

Actually, it's funny, because when the 20th Silo came out I was not sure what to think of it. It looked completely different from my regular Silo I had at the time. I remotely remember that I didnt like it at first, which is absurd. Now I think it's the classiest sexiest looking EBMM, and the TOOOOOONNNNE!!

I would do away with the pickguard on an HSS BFR and mount the pickups to the body. There's already an SSS BFR, and we want to see that maple top!

Yea I know what you mean, but at the same time it would look very similar to a BFR LUKE except with different pickups? But then again, they can come up with something radical that will make it stand out on its own...we shall see.

The 20th Silo was an Anniversary guitar.. so the crew took some time to think about the history of the guitar and the company and take the opportunity to showcase how far they've come while still retaining great aspects of the original. Consequently, it is a unique piece of art and makes a statement.

The BFR idea, while subject to evolve at the will of the Ball family, was to whip up some cool variations on the existing instruments, usually in limited quantities, to give the masses a chance to own the sort of instrument that only a signature artist may have had access to in the past. They're hot-rodded or premium versions of the existing instruments using exotic woods or different electronics packages, or both.. and sometimes more.

The Silo did get the BFR treatment with the Gold Roller though!

The BFR Silo Special is patiently awaiting it's debutante.
