So my wife comes in while I'm looking at these last night, so I start explaining to her what's special about 'em, and she says ... "you should get two".

Robert you are one lucky guy.Just keep your wife from those special
blue diamonds! Lol...

She was thinking about the possibility of these basses appreciating, if they end up being available for only a few years, etc. She's a smart cookie.

I've been trying to follow closely on this thread but may have missed this; do these models have a name yet or will they just be called the 2 band EQ Stingrays?

Thanks,

I think a hint can be found in the names someone (Dargie?) gave to the photos themselves.

I will be happy to own any of these so long as it is not pink (was that a suggestion?). JOSH

Well I suggested Peach (but that goes pink under certain lights) - other people said shell pink. I think this was meant to be as well as seafoam, cream, natural and sunburst which are already in the pics, not instead of!! Dargie did say they were looking at rotating two colours per quarter - which means major GAS I reckon.

Jack - Didn't Dargie say they might offer lacquered figured maple necks at extra charge (heres hoping :D)

Doesn't seem to hurt Lance Armstrong.....

OK that was just TOO funny! :)

My wife USED to say that before we bought our house last year, and have a baby due in less that 6 weeks, oh and did I mention I lost my job? Sorry for the rant, but I remember those good ol days, and miss them SO much!

Question: Will there be a fretless version (with ebony board please)?

As soon as black is one of the two rotated colours, I might have to order one...

(Oh, and the "figured" neck option would be nice to have without the gloss finish as well... just saying)

I think I'm checking this thread for updates more obsessively than anything else before. Dying to know if they'll be available before NAMM. Like ants on a fish-head, know what I'm sayin?

Ok guys and gals, my vote is NOT the glossy finish but the Velvet Lacquer finish like my 1990 had. And a HUGE + on the figured necks. I'll pay, I'll pay!!! :D

Thanks Gav for enlightening me with that bit about the finish.
