I recorded this one last night with an SM57 into a Fostex MB16 and synced the audio this morning. For some reason there is a hiss around 16khz that won't go away. The mic has been dropped a few times so that may be why... Hopefully the mix is ok as I had to use headphones instead of nearfield monitors (still working on setting up that side of the room).

Clean channel is both humbuckers with a little bit of breakup from the amp and slight chorus from the Lexicon ALEX. Any reverb heard is natural to the room.

Dirty channel is the SLO-100 recorded dry with delay added during mixdown.

Gigging with this guitar is easy as pie, it is so light you don't even notice it! (gotta be right at 6lbs if not just under)

Very Cool Pete!

Love the tune too - those Gold Roller pickups have quite a snarl huh? - Still not 100% sure on the gold with DD2 green- but a great video!

Pete,
Sounds great thanks for the demo. I was watching at work and got distracted when you faded from the clean to the crunch channel and when I looked back I was all confused, your fingers weren't following the arps anymore... I knew something had changed since the blue death ray was engaged.

I love the clean on your Soldano, the pickups on the Gold Roller sound really good. Did you do any mods to that amp or is it stock?

Fred, aside from the LEDs and some different tubes it is stock. I run the clean channel with the bright switch "on" but crank the preamp all the way to 11 so when I beat on the guitar it breaks up a decent amount. I have found that to be the sweet spot for gigging with the JP (it makes the clean seem like it is 2 channels when I switch pickups), and the Gold Roller fits into those settings just fine.

Smelly, you're outta your mind, the green and gold go together like Jack & Jill, Bonnie & Clyde, Mutt & Jeff, Yoko and Lennon! ok maybe not the last one.

Pete you are the man and there are just no two ways around it.

They go together like NorM and WronG.
(The only reason I am ever right is because I can't be wrong all the time. It was pointed out to me that I am incorrect in making that statement)

Pete is still the man.
