I was looking for a light combo and got very distracted . . .
I'm a conservative and drab black/white/tobaccoburst guy but when I went to my local GC Bass Room on Sunday one of the 50 basses in there was screaming " LOOK AT ME!!!" "TAKE ME!!!". Usually a thick neck player too but this SLO bass just felt so RIGHT . . . so light and resonant and almost felt like a guitar hero toy. I played it insanely well and that is an atypical event. I don't know if I'm going to like the attention but if I'm going to put a splash of color in my collection, it had to be "Hot Rod Red" (I really didn't know what color this was until Aziah helped me out).

Honestly, the pics don't capture this color well or do it justice . . .

Love that shade!

I used to think I hated red but four of my last five basses have been red. The exception? DDII. :)

Oh, my next bass will be red as well... a Classic SR 5'er.

Congrats Moondog...Very nice indeed. There is one just like it with a RW fretboard at my local GC. If I hadn't picked up my Trans Gold Slo, I'm not sure how long I could have resisted the temptation.

My brothers, thanks for your support of my first bass of color!!

Like I said, I was colorless . . . Red never appealed to me before but it was the loudest bass in the room (in appearance) . . . thumbed it's nose at the others . . .
