Thanks to all for the warm forum welcome. I spent the night bonding with my new guitar, noodling while I flipped between the Spitfire and Red Wing games, then stayed up way to late jamming through a Boss Gt-10 and headphones. I really see what the fuss was all about- the silo plays so easily and is so comfortable and well balanced. The piezo sounds fuller than the one on my Canadian three-voice guitar, the in-between positions with the single coil have a nice squawk, and the neck pickup much less muddy and more useable than other HB guitars I have had. Unfortunately my bandmates and I fell victim to a double-booking situation this weekend, so I won't get to try my new guitar out in a live performance situation until then. I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed.

Welcome to the forum, and nice introduction! I think that's my favorite Ice Blue guitar yet. The Abalone pickguard looks great on it.

I'm not a lumberjack, or a Furtrader,
and I don't live in an igloo,
or eat blubber
or own a dogsled.
And I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I'm certain they're really, really nice.

I have a prime minister... not a president,
I speak English and French, not American
and I pronounce it About, not A-boot.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack,
I believe in peacekeeping, not policing,
diversity not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.

A toque is a hat,
a chesterfield is a couch,
and it IS pronounced Zed,
not Zee... ZED!!
Canada is the 2nd largest land mass,
the 1st nation of hockey,
and the best part of North America.

My name is Jeff...
and...I......AM......CANADIAN!

Thank you. :)

Wow, there are a lot of Candians here? Maybe we could get enough Canucks together for a special Canadian EBMM guitar. It would have to be available in a special finish like:
Great White North
CanadianTire Black
Tim Horton Brownburst
Molson Golden
Mountie Red
Maple Leafs(sic) Blue
Gretzky's Delight
Rainbow Salmon, or,
Mystic BC Bud Dream
We'd have to have Sudbury Nickle(back) hardware, sugar maple necks, and of course the silent circuit for us polite and quiet northern neighbours.

I support my Canadian brother and I think that a Canadian Ball would be cool! Maybe a nice white with a red maple leave graphic in the middle - sweet!

I did a mock up months ago. I must of tossed it out. It was a Canadian flag on top of a white AL. It looked pretty good.

Seeing that a lot of people seem to like this finish/pickguard combo, I'd like to take the liberty of posting another picture. You can tell I'm seriously loving this guitar after 2 days of bringing her home.

BTW, you could have joined us long ago. We have a lot of members without Balls. Ask Foggy how long he was without before he took the plunge! :D
