Psycho, I had lot of troubles as a child and while growing up being a right hand trained lefty. The one and only good thing was that I started to play right handed and that I can easily get a bass I like - if I got the money.

Left handed bassists have to suffer with very limited choices but I have to say, Big Poppa treats us pretty damn good. I have an SR4, SR5 and a Bongo5 all in the exact colors I wanted with the features I wanted. Try and do that with any other major manufacturer and you will be sorely disappointed.

EBMM really does treat us lefties very well, thanks BP! It is hard to see all these new models and not want them too. A lefty Big Al is at the top of my list.

That article is interesting... I'm a right trained lefty. I did poorly in school and had a terrible adolescence. Who knows what they would diagnosed me with today. (Luckily 4 years in the Army straightened my butt out and I have a family and a day time job that allows me the luxury of being a happy EBMM owner. )

I have a 5 1/2 year old daughter who is a lefty (and will stay that way!). An Interesting thing I've noticed is, in a lot of situations I know exactly what my daughter is feeling an what her train of thought is. My wife, who is a righty, does not get my daughters reasoning.

I think there may be something different about the way lefties think.

I believe this is approved. It is also told that lefties are more creative, while the righties are more technically. I don't know if it is true, but I know a lot of very creative Lefties.

I think instructors who strongly encourage lefty kids to play righty are doing their students are horrible disservice. Kids should play in a way that feels most natural.

All because of the availabilty of instruments. Funny how this is mentioned here, on an EBMM forum, a maker who offers lots of lefty instruments.

I have 9 basses and 4 guitars. Don't seem to have a problem finding lefties.
