Played a jam night last night and took my LEAL and Marshall 50.
my embryonic band started off and we played 5 numbers.

Then I handed over to other players, and put the LEAL back in it's case.
( well not straight away - I asked Olplayer to hold the guitar for me whilst I got the case, and he was showing the guitar to a punter who thought it looked and sounded nice. He was taken back when OlPlayer told him the trem knob and pickup selector was solid gold!!).

Anyway, at the end of the night a guitarist asked if he could use my Marshall - "of course" I said.

as he was tuning up he beckoned me over to ask me to adjust the Marshall Silver Jub, which to the uninitiated is awkward to dial in. He said "no no - just give me the sound you had" - I twiddled the knobs to my settings and he still looked perplexed, saying that it didn't sound as nice as when I was playing. I said "well, that's the best I can do - it's all in the fingers, oh yeah and it's the guitar" !!" Hee hee - will these guys never learn that Balls are best !!!;)

Spud

i had a similar incident a few weeks ago. it went something like

"man that amp sounds so smooth"
"oh nah, the amps good, but its mainly the guitar" (luke)
then he started arguing with me about it and it went downhill from there.. maybe we'll see him in here one day :)

I remember years ago opening the case to my Axis to a gibby man. That look on his face was priceless.

Its all about sharing the love. :)

I have similar experiences to Spud's, but in my case I always have to say:

'Don't blame the guitar!!!'

It is the guitar to a point. Nothing wrong with having an EBMM on your strap though.....the rest is up to you.
