Is it Big Poppa... a panel.. Is it voted on?
Is there a naming democracy at MM?

Note: I quit using "n" in responsible. I don't like it there.

Wasn't the Axis going to be named "Benedict Arnold" or something like that when Eddie left Musicman...?

BPs talked about the naming a few times.
Some guitars/basses have a story... they tried to name a bunch of early instruments w/ an "S"... (Silhouette)

The Reflex was a name they had trademarked (copywritten?) a while ago that they decided to bring into production use.

I forget the story of the Axis but I remember seeing a pic of an early AL that said "Axis" on the headstock (something like that - i forget).

Yep on the Axis. Not sure "who" names them. I think it is a round table discussion as they throw out color schemes and what not. I could be wrong.

Benedict Arnold was an American traitor during the Revolutionary War. The most "famous" of traitors. People are called that when they are betrayed.

Haha, interesting point. I'm glad I don't have to ask for a RGT42FMSB or a RG350DX when I go to a music store. Just "a Petrucci" or "a Silhouette".

Summer NAMM they'll announce the 'Smelly' - wait and see!

I like the names, I also like the fact the buck stops with BP - Management lesson for all!

The Morse model should have been called :
-- --- ·-· ··· ·

Strangely enough, they decided to use the name of an obscure guitarist born in Hamilton, Ohio :D
