I don't know what the plans are for this but I will say that I think the EMG X series pickups must be included, I've been watching Youtube clips of the current Toto tour and Luke seems to favouring his gold guitar a lot, in the clips it sounds amazing and so much fuller and clearer than his other guitars, not that the others don't sound amazing as well but that gold guitar just sings..:)

Isn't that one the rosewood necked true gold guitar? Maybe a rosewood neck is in the cards.

OK Kids Thanks for your excitement. Let me please restate that this is not a thread asking you what you think Luke should play. This is a thread openly discussing that we are prototyping. There is no guarantee that it will see the light of day. we are sharing with you as a company things that others wouldnt. Whenever you talk about something in the future is hurts you sales today.

The worst and most horrible threads in history are ones where we show what an artist wants and people get nuts with critique and opinion. The original BFR JP and the JPX cannot happen again.
I will politely ask once again that you focus on watching and please understand that you are not a participant in the process. I think it is a good thing that you can watch but some cant take it. I will either close the thread or delete posts when iot starts to get ugly. Pretend that you are invited into the operating room to view your uncle Charlies brain surgery. Sit and watch and hope...but dont talk to the patient or Dr.!

Im sorry that I have to go into detail but this is the only way we can design with an artist. Please reserve judgement until you hold it touch it and play it and remember our job in these instances is making the tool for the intended artist. Thanks

So please no more 5 string, fretless, axis neck pickup, maple fretboard, mahog neck and upside down with two five ways......heheheh

BP, I think I can speak on behalf of everyone if I thank you for sharing with us some of the details that involves planning new features/models with the artists, that is really cool.

I understand we are just watching, however may I just ask if there is an EMG-X equipped Luke that Luke is using at the moment? I'm not talking about testing, that is part of the detail you won't share, I am talking about Luke using that guitar at gigs/clinics.

He looks like he's having fun. "Summer camp for aging musicians" he called this tour.
