I'm amazed by the number of forum member purchasing those. I still remember Smelly trying to have 50 commitment for a special model :)

in the end better to let EBMM decide color/finish and so on, they are always right :)

Holy crap, Diz. That one is a freakin' stunner. You and Ernie got 2 beauties. Looks like the wake from a boat that went right down the center of the body.

Here's a few more pics of mine - in transit

For some reason it makes me want to go water skiing !! :D

OK I'll now publicly say it..(I didn't before because I didn't want people think that I am hyping things) This batch of 50 is our best work ever. The boys and girls in the shop raised the bar.

I agree BP! I've owned over 20 BFR Petruccis and this one (22/50) is simply the best instrument I've ever played. Period. Thanks!

Raleigh GC still has #38... didn't sound like many other people knew about it because the salesman I talked to had never seen it before and it was in case in box and not a fingerprint on it...

Setup was perfect and the piece was truly gorgeous!

Also, the GC had a natty Reflex, NOS 25th anniv, silver JP6, MD JP6, JPX, Sterling JP50 stealth (looked great), Sterling AX40, Axis.... and a lot of great EBMM basses including 25th 5string, three classic series, and a Big Al 4 banger!

... and some clarification: I did not walk out with it! :(

Some pics for everyone:

This thing is beautiful!

Surprisingly colorful ebony fretboard (compared to my guitars!)... They must have used the best pieces for this guitar...

So who's been playing theirs? Any reviews... Did every one take of the signed back plate, or is that rubbing off not a concern?

And have you not played yours? You should:D

Well if you want one better grab it quick, 18 have already sold and they officially dont go on the market until well today:)

Number 3 still needs a good home so someone call Robbie and buy it:)

Fing, I gotta wait till Wed... it's a wedding gift from my soon to be wife :).. it's tortuous though.. everytime i go over her parents house i stare at the box (the brown one it was shipped in).
I did play it before purchasing it though. Did you buy #3, or you posting pics to help move it?

Dizzy, I know it says it is clearcoated, but it's either very thin, not glossy or I just didnt notice any difference, and im looking for reassurance :)

Yeah it certainly felt normal when I played #38, didn't feel like a clearcoat or anything. But I'm sure if GC says it is protected, then it is. Still, if I owned one I may get a replacement backplate just to better save the sig.

Sounds like I need to go check this out. The salesmen over there don't really know about the EBMM stuff too well, and a lot of it isn't treated the best, unfortunately.

Still though, it's a great place to try these guitars that I'd never see otherwise.
