thanks you to everyone for their input and helping me with the decision to trade. All I can say is as of right now i couldnt be happier with it. The neck has a closer feel to my strats and the build quality seems amazing compared to how my les paul was , on my les paul you could feel the binding coming away from the body. The guitar just seems so much better made then a gibson. and the feel the guitar has is great. It wtake a little time to get used to but it seems like it will be easy. the weird thing is the serial number is my first intial and my birth date. so maybe it wa meant to be. really happy i traded

When I bought my first EB Axis I immediately sold my Les Paul Axcess and haven't looked back. That LP was a pretty sharp guitar and played nicely as well, but it looked and felt better than it sounded. Changed pickups to Classic '57's which I know that I like and that didn't help. I never gelled with it at all. The EB was love at first feel, sight, and sound. Now I have three of them, all together I think that they cost me about 20% more than price of that one LP. Sorry that I didn't write about the Y2D but my desire to sing the praises of EB guitars got the best of me.

Back on topic: Those Y2D Purple Sunset finishes are amazing.

Congrats! You made a wise trade. Morse's rock! I've still got a really nice LP, but it rarely gets played these days.

Congratulations. Having been addicted to Les Pauls before my conversion to EBMM, I can relate your situation. I think you'll be extremely happy.
