Most of you are very Nice. Some of you need to read the rules again if you have not already. A MM Bass Girl I know won't even come here anymore because of use of the Ball name just basic attitude of some forum users.

Some outright Bully with responses. So I quit ! I love my Music Man guitars and really like reading the topics here and get excited about new products just like everyone else. Just because some of you snobs have over 5000 posts is not really something to be proud of. You should really be practicing how to play your guitars IMO. You people are so very lucky to have a host like Sterling Ball. It's sad though to see posts with a topic regarding anatomy
linked to a legendary name. Recently a new female poster that joined and showed a photo of 2 Music Man guitars... I waited...Sure enough someone said it "B@($'s" and couldn't believe it. It might as well been my 16 old daughter. Very sad, Nobody cares.
With 3 different user names to myself I counted numerous un-provoked Bully/Snobish responses. You win, I quit ! Of course I will still come around to read the great information and Speculation! of the Guitars I like to play. The ones I crossed paths with...You know who you are...Good luck. I would think as this being a Corporate message board' Music Man would think what is more important. People who Buy and Play Music Man guitars? or People who post here joke about Human anatomy and it's relation to Guitars? How Rude.

OK not sure why but quitting is for losers, and thats not directed expressly at you! Examples of your complaints, and yea we all make jabs once in awhile but for the most part I am here because I love EBMM products, vagueness doesnt help unterstand, plus I still want to know how you think roasted is going to turn out, might miss the magic crystal ball:D:)

wait wait wait wait, you're leaving because some of us refer to ernie ball products as "balls"? a highly sophisticated pun, even the most uppity of critics would agree, but is it really a reason to get offended? its not even such a crude word anyway, half the words you'll find in a medical dictionary are far more street-offensive than "balls" when referring to ... (dare i say it?)

edit: this post containts sarcasm. previously undetected by some :)

I'm 37 with the mind of a 16 year old, and I too tire of and roll my eyes at many of same tired comments made over and over again. It's not that I'm offended, just tired of hearing the same "joke". And no, trust me, it's not a sophisticated pun.

I've never understood the constant balls reference either and I also don't understand why people need to make such a dramatic exit either?

I don't think of it as a pun really, just another inside joke for those who know the brand, similar to that of "That Top Sucks!"

Sad to see you go.

Agreed on both fronts Colin.

Occasionally the jokes here can get a little juvenile. It is a real issue- we consistently run women out of here, and that's not really something I'm proud of. We could use more female representation.

But one thing we don't need is drama.

Look, somebody's offended you? Write them a PM ... most times comments are taken out of context or misunderstood. If you really have an issue, tell a mod and we'll do our best to help smooth things out. You don't like certain people? Ignore them like you would in real life. You really don't like the place? Head for the door, it's a big Interweb ... there are lots of places to hang.

A big farewell speech doesn't really help your cause. I'm afraid I can't see where you've been bullied here ... you've made comments people reacted to and vice versa.

Add me to the list of people who never cared for the "balls" reference thing either. I personally feel it's disrespectful but seems to be tolerated so I guess it's ok.

It's not worth getting worked up enough to leave, though.

This forum is the most polite and unoffensive I've ever seen or participated in.

Guys, remember that EBMM makes bumper stickers that say "balls are best," I have one on my Jeep. I'm sure they have been hearing the "ball" jokes forever. I worked with a guy named Harry Sacks, I'm dead
serious, and he heard about it everyday, he just didn't let it bother him.

Hmmm... I'm with 24th on this. This is one of the least offensive and cantankerous forums I've ever participated in. He should come over to the one that I moderate every day as part of my job. Every other post is a personal attack, childish insult or racist comment, and the people there can turn nasty and fight to the death over absolutely ANYTHING. It gives a new appreciation for places like this. :)

I never said I was personally offended. There is a time and place for the remarks and jokes though. Whats so dramatic with "I quit" I'm just tired of whenever I pick up my guitar I'm thinking about Balls. When a girl joins--or even posts for that matter, refrain from the Ball remarks. Beej maybe you could cull and delete as needed? I'm not here to tell you what you need to do either. I just want to enjoy the friends guitars and information.

So I unquit now. :)

Not a big fan of that play on words but not worth the drama IMO.

On the other hand, I've seen guys who got huffy on discussion boards because their wife/girlfriend was offended. Not sayin' it's the case here but it definitely happens.

How many times have we read "I'm quiting" threads...............yawn...........

Either stop posting or don't. No long dramatic "reason" needed.

I could really care less - and so should you
