Just saw the spec page and video 1.... wow this looks awesome. If I didn't have band practice I'd probably spend the next hour on the site! It's very slick and well put together.

I'm glad there's only one options for pickups (HH), it makes the choice a lot easier for me when deciding what to buy! I'm sure a lot of thought went into that decision as well.

I'm really looking forward to checking one of these out when they hit the stores. When can we expect Ed Friedland's review? It'll last for hours!

I'm looking forward to checking out these vids once I get home from work today. I am intrigued!!

And given I am after either a Reflex or Big Al 5 string, then maybe, just maybe I will wait and get one of these. As long as we can get it in any colour available - don't really want a black bass....no matter how popular they are! ;)

My kids are going to remember the introduction of this series of instruments the way my grandparents thought of going from horse-and-buggy to the automobile. BP, this is absolutely revolutionary. Brilliant, frickin brilliant.

That's my second time through the videos. I've been reading about the Gamechanger all along but seeing it and hearing what it can do have really opened my eyes.

bummed-out or not?

bummed-out that I lost an hour of practice time by watching the videos and checking the GC website but MAN, I realized I actually am saving a lot of time in the future as I don't have to spend countless hours researching what pickup config. I want for my next MM basses... All I need is a HH GameChanger Bass!!! Woot!!! :D

.......wait, then I'll probably spend countless days..... experimenting with the different sonic options on the GC bass..... Oh well! ;)

I'm curious if it will be offered in other models like the Sterling 5 HH?

After watching all the videos, I couldn't help thinking what the other companies will think of this. I would imagine that ALL the other guitar companies will be scratching their heads and wishing they had thought of this. All F***** does every year is offer a few new colors, hardware upgrade, Highway 1, now the American Special J & P Bass - oh and the pre-beat up new guitars and basses - jeeeze. Then you have G***** who still makes LPs complete with snap-off headstocks. I would also guess that BP will NOT be licensing this system to anyone! It IS brilliant and the best new thing to come along in the last 50 or so years for the electric guitar/bass.

WOW...Just watched all the vids and KNOW I have to get one of these as soon as possible. I LOVE my 25th 4HH but I can't even imagine what having this capability is going to be like in this form fator. I have a Ray and Ray 5 and I LOVE them to but the 25th gets about 99% of my playing time when I am being paid to play. I ususally carry either the Ray 4 or 5 with me as a backup and at least make sure they are in tune. Inevitably when I play one of them during soundcheck my engineer says hey man plug in that 25th it is the sh*t! It is without question one of if not THE single best instrument for me I have ever owned. I am taking her everywhere I go these days. I can see that I need a Gamechanger 4 and a Gamechanger 5 and that could be the last 2 instruments I ever need to buy...EASILY this will go down in the history of music as one of the greatest advances of all time...I tip my hat to all the people involved in making this possible and thank you for the good times to come!

Just one question...When can I get my own?

Peace,

T

I just finished watching the videos as well and it is great to see the enthusiasm from all the established veteran players as well as the EBMM staff. It must be good.

So, does that mean all the guitar guys with signature models will have to switch to the Reflex, or will they be made special to their models?

And, of course, will there be a 5-string bass?

i miss it terribly. (somebody cue "baby come back" by player.) you guys have really done it. you created this out of thin air. that was valuable time that could have been spent golfing, or dreaming up new ways to re-package old products, but instead , you were working for me... for "us". working and dedicating insane resources to give us musical options, wild choices, divine inspiration, unlocking the stairwell to the next level... and helping us be the best we can possibly be. thats why i love you, only you, and now play only your instruments. knowing sterling and having a bit of the backstory, i very much see his commitment to giving us the gamechanger as an incredibly selfless act , or at the very least an act of mutual (and foolish) passion , and for some reason, that just demands my respect. well.... you have it... 1000%. the g.c. is no joke. no gimmick. not hype. it is simply the finest musical instrument i have ever laid eyes or hands on. i was superhuman for over a month while it was in my possession, now im just "bass guy". but even without the g.c. i still have the best tone in town. weird huh?
