While playing Raising the Knife on the 20th anniversary show. Its the standard JP6 but I don't remember that finish ever being around. Was it a one off?

Yeah, it was a one-off... I would do some pretty interesting things to get my hands on one just like it.

IIRC it had PAFs instead of the "normal" pickups. When he hits that first note in the Goodnight Kiss solo.... GAH, melt...

If the pick ups were direct mounted, no rings, that'll be perfect. Nice color though, there should be a BFR with the forearm scoop.

Same pickups and tone woods and color. Check it out in the FS thread (shameless plug).

I was just watching it again... The Spirit Carries On Solo is amazing! Huge, singing, perfectly detailed tone.

Those are the pickups in my guitar!! :D

Absolutely right Tung, I thought about that quite a while ago, a BFR with the scoop would be just perfect, or well, a JP6 with the cutaway of the BFR, which would be more or less the same thing. Anyhow, it obviously won't ever happen, as the intention with the BFR was to make the whole guitar bigger.

Love the guitar but I just can't get into those pickup rings with the 2 screws on the one side.

He should have got me to burn the covers for him :p
I like the covers actually, although I like open coils just as much. The rings I don't like that much though.
