I know a lot of you chaps will have already seen this.

Roadrunner have opted to announce on Facebook, but for those who don't do Facebook, or don't want to, I've drilled down to a direct link to the vid.

Click me for direct link to flash video.

Enjoy folks, I've almost worn out the play button on it!

Some glimpses of Stealth action in there too :)

I could claim to have done the work.................

  • Virgil Donati
  • Thomas Lang
  • Mike Mangini
  • Marco Minnemann
  • Aquiles Priester
  • Derek Roddy
  • Peter Wildoer

.....................................ok, so I had the list nearby :p

The next album will be awesome, no doubt at all.

I am travelling to Englandshire on 23rd July; Wolverhampton will rock.

Any one of those thumpers would bring something special to DT.

Those of you that know me know that I'm a diehard DT fan. Although I am saddened by the loss of MP, I am looking forward to what is to come. However, I must admit that the drama over this announcement is just downright silly. Just announce it already!

Mike, that's like saying "Big Poppa, please don't let Dargin post any more teaser threads with prototypes because it creates extra drama" You know you eat it up as much as the rest of us! heheh

Personally, I think it's a great way for DT to increase exposure and garner publicity and possibly renewed interest from fans who have strayed, especially with all the "reality TV" that is out there and so incredibly popular.

Mangini is frikkin FAST, btw, I was wondering if he would be in there somewhere.

LOL. Ok ok...fair enough...although I feel compelled to point out that when Darkin posts teasers, we have something to look at. Now if DT dropped us some clips from new tracks, they'd have my complete attention. ;)

All in good fun. I still plan to support the guys and will buy whatever they put out!

Eddie Trunk said on his twitter a few weeks ago it's Mangini.

Paul Warren @ the JP forum is against people posting rumors of who the drummer "is" I am sure BP will take the same stance here. About a month before Eddie said what he said the Rumor was Marco was the new drummer and the story went that MP let it "slip" out. Then shorty after Jordan does a project with Marco further fueling the fire. After watching the video clip I know know that one of the 7 is the guy that plays on all of James' solo albums and gigs with him when he has a solo outing. Truth is after seeing that video and now knowing the 7. It is a sure thing that no matter who the drummer is they will be sick! My hope is for Marco but if I must be stuck with Lang, Donati or Mangini then I guess I will just deal with it. HAHAHA

I only hope is Mangini... :)
to me seems pretty stupid this MK around the new drummer, for **** sake, DT is not Justin timbarlake or beyonce to be involved in such crap...but I am disappointing to see that even band like DT won't stay away of this kind of lime publicity

I totally understand why they would be tempted by the chance for such publicity but I too am disappointed and thought they were above this. I mean, obviously we'll never know the true internal conflict that happened but c'mon DT don't feed me a line of crap about being family when he tried to come back and was told No.

Worth noting that Mike Mangini played on Mullmuzzler, Mullmuzzler 2 , and Elements of Persuation, and Peter Wildoer played on Static Impulse. Both have a proven track record with James’ material.

I love Marco Minnemann's playing too though, and his cookie monster shirt is a touch of genius. Nom nom nom....

Woah woah woah chaps, let's not see the drummer mystique as a negative. I love the fact that the band has kept the drummer position a mystery for so long.

Look at the back catalogue of non recorded music releases from DT. With all the DVDs, documentaries, official bootleg material, and bonus disks, the band has always been forthcoming with interviews and commentary. This is no different; apart from the fact it is preceding a release rather than following.

The build-up this time is just a little more fun, and they’ve done it for us, the fans. I think that speaks volumes, it’s surely a positive thing.

Only thing that I haven't liked is Roadrunner solely going to Facebook for the info release.
