My Pink Axis has arrived...and I am in LOVE!!!

Hello everyone,

Well, I've just received my latest and greatest aquisition: a hot pink Axis.

And, I say the "greatest" because the sustain on this guitar is amazing. Some guitars just really sing, and this one must have some wood with some serious mojo. The birdseye on the neck is just silly...

They made 50 of these in pink for the Japanese market, so this baby's been around the world. Mint condition, and I will keep her in my collection forever. She just became my #1.

There are a few listed on some the japanese sites. Very nice. Been thinking about a spalted Axis from there myself.

A friend of mine ordered Pinky from Japan. I bought her from him. I can't remember the website, but it was in Japanese and did not translate to English.

She is stunning. I am so happy right now. Of course I had to pimp her out with that Ocelot strap!

Your's is quilted. The spalted ones bbake mentioned are totally different - and fantastic looking as well. A search will turn up a few examples for you.

I thought Bbake might be right because there is an area by the volume knob where the wood grain is wider and wavy. I'm at work right now, but I'll try to photograph that area tonight.

Wow, that Japanese site has ONE limited edition spalted maple top Axis left! Now I see the difference - mine is a quilt all day long.

the first EBMM I ever played a Pink EVH that I have almost purchased that was in 1997 had to wait § more years before getting my first EBMM but still regret that pink EVH
