I now wish that I could have roasted the tongue & groove Basswood that's on my livingroom ceiling...

Honestly, I think I'd like it even more with a black/creme/black pickguard. After a lot of time with the Billy Bass both with and without pickguard, I think they got the look right with a pickguard. I mean, unless you do something crazy like put flames on a green bass, but who'd be crazy enough to do something like that?

"Green" [i.e pre-roast] Boingo:

Naked_Bongo-bdy.jpg

Azzew can see, roasting is essential.
Raw Boingos can be unpalettable ....

No, it's not mine, and I've never seen
it in [ugh] person. Notice the wooden
knobs but absence of stack knobs ... I
assume it's prolly no longer active EQ.

Drool, drool! And I thought that, from what I have heard and read, basswood didn't have figure to it and thus the reason for solid colors...... Not so much here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That must have been one select piece of basswood

That is the most stunning Bongo I have ever seen! If it were an unlined fretless, I would Occupy the front lawn at SLO waiting for it to become a limited run model....GAS!

I guess I didn't realize how cool the grains in the basswood look. Maybe it's the roastin. Whatever it is, it seems to accentuate the curves. Very cool, BP.

Did you roast it on the Mac? :D
