The roasted were always one of my favorites, but I have to agree with tommydude, the GC exclusive JP6 BFR bahama blue non-burst is my top favorite limited run.

I think I dig the LE 2006 black & gold the most. Just a classy look without any gimmicks. The 2008 LE Sequoia Gold is cool too but less cool on the Axis (which I have) because it doesn't flip-flop on the flat top. Then, of course, Black Sugar/Roasted Maple... And lately I have been digging the GC limited edition Black Magic Crystal (which I don't have and am feeling like I need to track down).

I am biased, of course, but the 2005 Buttercream is understated elegance, IMVHO. It's probably the least flash of all the LE's but the dark red silk screening to go with the tort pickguard was a touch of class and set it apart from anything else. I so pleased when Slav PM'd me last year selling his one!

The 2004 Envy Green is another favourite (I wanted to buy Michael Greene's Silo Special a few years ago but put my offer in just a little too late). There was a limited run for Japan of Envy Green Lukes with gold hardware that was pretty special. The 2008 Sequoia and the 2006 Black and Gold are pretty nice too. I know everybody raves about the Blue Dawn, but I just don't see it. To be honest, it's actually my least favourite colour. But hey, I'm the kind of guy that keeps chocolate in the fridge, butter on the table, and I'm still disappointed that green guitars don't sell...

I'd love to see a return of the LE's like they were up to 2008, a standard guitar with a limited colour and unique little logo. For some reason, that simple idea appeals to me more.

Green for an Irishman ????? What a surprise !! :D:D:D:D:D
A bit predictable, my dear Kevin !

But I agree with you : LE is a great concept. And the buttercream is in fact my favorite one (a Morse buttercream please ).

Hey DrKev I'm totally with you on the Envy Green! I loved that color and would get a Silo Special like that any day. I also really like black headstocks recently opposed to matching.

I also liked the limited ALL rosewood neck option! If a Silo Special came in tobacco burst and a rosewood neck that would be the one for me 100%. I think it might have been one of the GC special runs as well, but have not seen any around.

However there is also a GC special on the JPX that is in blackburst! That looks really bad***!!!

And look at this neck!

Seeing how it's only available for JP and a knucklehead Rich Brymer who were lucky enough to get his hands on one of them, I'd say it's very limited XD

Totally agreed! I loved those year-based limited editions. I mean, who doesn't like Blue Dawn 2007 LE ^__^ Even if it existed as a regular finish aswell, having the 2007 at the 12th fret was very appealing!
