Funky treble-lovin tele-stompin chicken-pickin heaven

Wait. so that's ((1 in parallel with 5 in parallel with (4 and 2 in series)) in parallel with 2 again) in series with 3?

Must be something wrong here. Can't likely use the same coil twice unless I'm missing something.

1 and 5 are parallel with (4 in series with 2) which are all reverse phase, then that whole mess is in series with coil 3 normal phase. Underlined numbers are reverse phase, not sure why that didn't work on my copy/paste

Brad, here's the screenshot as all the parentheses can appear confusing. You are gonna LOVE messing with your GameChanger

Ha you took the question right off my fingers

Thanks for the screen shot I was going to the web to try to build what I though you were saying I would have never gotten it since the underline was missing LOL

This is making my brain hurt. I cannot cope with a few pup options. This is totally mad and damn awesome.

No problem!

One thing that is cool to do is listen to the differences when rearranging the order in which the signal passes through the coils.

Here is a series of screenshots using almost identical positions with the only difference being the order in which the signal passes through coils 2 and 4. Almost unbelievably, the two positions have a subtle difference in the sound produced. The one in Bank B-4 has slightly more "snap" compared to Bank B-5.

The permutations are almost limitless. Wait until you see what Nick and I cook up for the video demos this weekend....

This is a PERFECT example of why the grid is necessary and why the user has the ability to rename presets! Creating code to name the presets with our nomenclature has proven to be a fun challenge, but I am sure that in the 8.5 million presets available, there will be some "confusing" ones in there! Technically, there will be a lot of presets that can almost only be "explained" by the grid (or their amazing tone, of course!).

Enjoy!

pete wait until you play with the midi in and out

I'm really excited about MIDI, actually. Planning on using MIDI messages from my Axe-Fx to change presets on my GameChanger. One footswitch press and I go from humbuckers into a stack to single coils into a twin...

Have you messed around with the MIDI yet? You can do some really cool things using MIDI commands. The coolest thing I found was adding a timer and sending out the MIDI cc# 6 command. cc# 6 is bank Z increment. With the default bank Z settings, it makes the guitar sound like a sample & hold like the beginning to Welcome Back My Friends by ELP. You can also edit the bank Z to have whatever arrangement of settings you want to cycle through. I used Max 6 to try this out.

What I'm wondering is how the MIDI jack is wired. Since it's only one jack and the guitar is capable of both MIDI IN and MIDI OUT, is there a breakout cable?
