Hi there! Could you please give me some info on my recently purchased Stingray 5 bass please?

It has had a refinish so the original colour would be nice to know, as well as its date of birth and where it was originally shipped to, as well as any other information you may have that may be of interest to me.

Many Thanks!

The bass is a Stingray 5 model with maple fingerboard and integral piezo bridge: Serial No. E58397.

Much appreciated!!

Andi

puranha,
burnt apple is, in fact, a discontinued sparkle finish that was an option from 2001-2002.

Have I stumped EB?

Woody,
Hmmm, did I miss something?

Hi there,

just got my "new" Stringray with SN E45192, love it by the way...
Do you have the DOB and some other info for me? It's very lightweight, so I'm wondering which wood it's made of?

Thanks a lot,
Bernhard

Many thanks for this information Jacob, very interesting!!

Also, does your database go as far as telling you if my bass originally had a colour-matched headstock? The reason I ask this is it had also been refinished (badly) in the same colour as the body...

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a big thanks and offer my highest recommendations to Alex in customer services at Strings and Things, UK - Within less than 24 hours and four further emails from my initial enquiry, not only did he source me a hard to find Musicman Stingray 5 piezo scratchplate and a (not so hard to find) black switch tip, but he had also shipped them to me and had them waiting on my doorstep ready for me to fit them to the bass.

No special order or request/pleading or begging on my part, just a genuine willingness on his part to offer a fantastic service!

Bravo Alex, now if only you can teach all the other companies how these things can be done....

Hi.. I just purchased a new Bongo 4 String from Island Music Company in MD

S/N F41507

I would like to know:
1. The DOB
2. Make sure this S/N is valid and is new and never been registered before(Note: I just registered it on your Web Site Yesterday under the name Rodney Phillips).
3. Verify that Island Music Company is a authorized MM dealer(They come up on your list of Dealers so I assume yes)

Thanks!
