I just got a complimentary download of the track Judgement Day as a thank you for pre-ordering the album. Unmistakable playing from the get-go and the audio textures are fantastic. Can't wait to hear the rest of the tracks!

+1
Luke was clearly in a dark place during AWTEW and the result was a collection of songs that scream sadness and confusion from both head and heart...but resulted in a masterpiece in playing, arranging, and songwriting.

Hope he tours a bit in US for this one and plays as many cuts from AWTEW that he has energy and time for.

My favorite rock player, hands down. Last album was some of his best solos, so let's see what he came up with here. Luke has been sliding in some real jazz changes in his music lately, so there's all kinds of cool chromaticism and arpeggio ideas in the way he plays. A player who constantly grows and get better.

That is a VERY cool idea.

Pete, it's one of the better on-line learning resources I've come across and it is fully endorsed by the artists. I've never really been keen on learning other people's music but I think it is cool to explore how the tracks are written and put together from a technical perspective.

Fred, thanx, I have that. I was just wondering if you buy it from Amazon or Newbury comics if that gets you in the running for the Luke that they are giving away. I was thinking of pre-ordering it from Newbury Comics, they have had signed copies.

Thanx again, good to hear from you. Glenn |B)

Looks like I can get my best deal thru Amazon and I have a gift card, so I'll be pre-ordering mine this weekend.

Yep that's what I used and hopefully a bigger % goes to Steve instead of some faceless corporation.

I wonder if that's really true, I thought the same thing, but could figure it out. Plus i don't need a poster and I didn't see just the CD listed.

I like the return to LP length albums. I can't imagine anyone would prefer 75 mins of 'average' tunes over 40 mins of killer tunes. I've preordered the vinyl issue too by the way.
