this information is 24hrs too late for me....but on the other hand, i like the maple tops on the Y2D for the extra bit of top-end, maybe a rosewood top would make it too smooth for my taste.

So what finish/model of a JP should you choose with a Rosewood neck?

You can get any JP with the rosewood neck. Personally I would get the original in mystic dream with the rosewood neck.

Definitely agree on the Mystic Dream and the While Pearl!

I think I've narrowed my choices down to either: Koa, Platinum Silver, Mysic Dream, Bahama Blue Burst, Cherry Sugar, Onyx or Cherry Burst.

Regardless of which finish/model I'd choose, it'll still be a 7-string.
Does anyone know how the fretboards will be on the models that has ebony fretboard - like the Koa? Does it still come with ebony fretboard (+ rosewood neck) or will the fretboard (as well as the neck) be rosewood?

Please help me choose what finish!! *panic*

i think it's an "all rosewood-neck" which means neck+fretboard+headstock

I also think it means "all rosewood". So, no ebony boards. Of the ones you mentioned I think koa would be the coolest but mystic dream, platinum silver, and cherry sugar would also be cool!

The necks will be completely rosewood. The JPs will have stainless steel frets per the normal spec.
