How about on the backplate? Also, will the Bongo's have the half moon inlays or something different? I know there have been a few changes since BFR went to the backplate from the inlays so I was curious what the necks will look like now.

I'd like to repeat JayDawg's question and add my own.

1. Is there any change to the standard inlays for the models with this offering (e.g. will Bongos still have half moons)?
2. Is the Bongo 6 included in this offering? It was excluded during the first offering years ago, IIRC.
3. Can the stealth option be ordered with the rosewood offering?

... with those questions, I think some of you can see where I am going with this...

You can order them from any Music Man dealer. We haven't shipped any yet so you won't be able to see them for a while. We're looking at late January and February for ETAs right now.

Just ordered a Stingray Classic with a rosewood neck. I had one before and still miss it - now I can correct that mistake.

Now THAT is going to be a treat! Will it be the Classic features with the oldschool logo, oldschool nut? Will it be lacquered?

The classic will still have the old school logo and nut but it won't have the glossy finish.

Fretless? Rosewood top on Reflex bass?

For anyone who hasn't played one of these..... They're the bee's knees! Go get one, or regret it.

This!!! Listen to this man! :)

BTW Matt... I had the FRR at practice 2 weeks ago after having not given her enough attention recently... I was reminded that it is one nice bass!!! I must thank you again!

Now what do we have to do to get you back behind a bass? ;-)

Ok, sorry, back to your regularly scheduled program.

-the "other" Matt ;-)

Can you describe how it differed in tone from the maple neck classics?

Ok, I didn't word that well. I had a SR5 with a rosewood neck, so this will be my first classic with a Rosewood neck, but it'll my second stingray that will have one. That said, the difference between the maple and rosewood necks was subtle, with the maple having a bit more top end, but the feel of the rosewood neck is what sold me on it. Really, really fantastic feeling necks.

Is there any way to still order one of these today? I finally figured out a way to swing a new Reflex and am at the guitar store now only to find out Music Man is closed today. :(
