Hello everyone. I'm a new EBMM owner from Australia, so also new on the forum. It's a 1986 Silo, SN 86038, so I feel pretty lucky to have picked it up.

I've already emailed EB and confirmed that it's officially an EVH serial number, but I thought I'd introduce myself. i'll try to put some pictures up this evening.

Anyway, hello to you all and thanks EB for answering my DOB so promptly, even to let me know not much is known about these early ones.

Thank you very much kind Sir.

This Axis was completed on January 29th, 2009. The color is translucent red with the maple neck and matching headstock. This one has the Gotoh Floyd Rose and the locking nut that bolts through the neck, other than that the specifications are the same as the ones we are producing currently. This one was originally shipped to Musician's Friend Distribution.

This one is a JP7 that was completed on October 6th, 2006. The JP12 wasn't introduced until 2012. The color is pearl red burst with the rosewood fretboard with nickel frets, JP inlays and the matching headstock. It has DiMarzio custom wound pickups.

So, what are the main differences between my JP7 and a JP12-7 ?
It was sold as a JP12-7, so i guess i've been flawed ?
