After a few years of searching, I finally found a used Majesty 6 in Stealth Black for sale. Price was reasonable, seller was fast and responsive.
Guitar arrived in pristine condition - case was smashed by UPS but seller gave me a nice discount on the purchase to make up for it. I've been playing it for the past few weeks and it plays and sounds great.
I did notice, however, that these pickups (supposed to be the JP signature Dreamcatcher/Rainmaker pickups) don't physically look like any Majesty 6 Stealth Black pickups I've seen in basically any videos or photos. They usually look like this:
Meanwhile, my pickups look like this:
(Please ignore the finger dust - I've been playing it quite a bit)
They don't sound off or anything - I have a JP15 with illuminators pickup, so I had some idea from descriptions of what these would sound like and it's fairly close - less bright/present. And the physical appearance is obviously not a big issue, I'm just trying to make sure these are stock and I'm dealing with the real thing here.
In case these are stock - any clue as to why they look so different from every other stealth black pickup I've been running into?
