Huge Pino fan from I, Assassin record by Gary Numan. Would have paid full price for the ICON model but only 100 available? That’s crazy IMHO! Make it 500 minimum because maybe Pino may have influenced more than 100 people on this planet….

No hay problema ! The rare 100 basses are for the first 100 buyers who "need" a "collectible" icon to show their worship of their Bass Idol. If Pino has influenced 5,000 people, the other 4,900 can learn his style, hopefully their own version of it, on any suitable ax. "Suitable" never requires a molecularly accurate clone. Those who really believe a clone is truly necessary key to success are those who will never succede.

I won’t question anyone’s reason to purchase something that they want or need, especially if it motivates them to pick up their instrument and play more. I do question only 100 Icon versions were made when obviously there was a much larger demand for them but hey I’m not in the guitar business and scarcity I guess is part of the reason to buy because of FOMO.

Don't know about numbers for the 'regular' Pino but only 15 available worldwide for the ICON series. I think they sold within a day or so.
