Can someone help decipher a build code on a bass I'm going to be looking to buy?

112-MB-51-01-CS-CR

means according answer from EBMM-CustomerSupport:
112 = StingRay 3 EQ H String Through Body
MB = "Mahogany Black" Finish/Color
51 = (unroasted) "Maple" Neck with "Ebony" Fretboard
01 = "Black" Pickguard
CS = with Case (its the hardshell "MusicMan" box, but the Quality of the Hinges, Locks, Handle,... is at least "questionable", compared to the high Q-Standard of the Instrument itself)
CR = Silver/chrome Hardware all around (Tuners, Bridge, Knobs,...)

Does anybody know what pickguard number 12 is in the build code? 2003 Sterling, SN F08509. The pickguard on the bass is a lighter colored black pearl, just trying to determine if thats the original guard. Thanks!

I've only ever seen blue dawn basses come with white, white pearl, and black pick guards, but yours might have been a custom order. One search result I found said 12 could be 3-ply black-white-black, but I wouldn't put money on that. Strange how the serial number database page doesn't show the pick guard color for your bass, but does for others.

I agree. I thought it was weird. The guy I bought it from says his wife bought it on the down low, wouldnt tell him how much it was, and swears she bought it new in 2007. Really strange. Anyway, I hate the guard and im gonna order one from WD Music. I think itll look good with either a dark black pearl, or the standard black that came on most every Blue Dawn I've ever seen.
