I've become a big fan of EBMM guitars (and basses) and I'm pondering which to try next. I'll list the models I have so far, and am curious what you would suggest:
  • St Vincent (w/3 mini-humbuckers)
  • Stingray II Deluxe
  • Axis
  • Reflex
  • Cultas RS (SSS)
  • Valentine Hardtail
  • Albert Lee (3 x P90)
Some comments on likes/dislikes:
  • I like hardtails - which makes me interested in a Stingray HT
  • I don't like the non-contoured top of the Axis - otherwise I'd love a semi-hollow Super Sport
  • The Mariposa's body shape is intriguing
Thoughts on what's next?

I'd suggest the Rabea Sabre, very very nice guitar, pricey though. Look for them used.

I’ve owned an ALHH for a number of years and owned a couple St Vincent’s for a while. I tried a Stingray in a Copenhagen guitar shop in December and it was a revelation. Maybe the most comfortable guitar I’ve ever picked up. Found a way of getting one as soon as I could. IMG_1324.jpeg

If it's the hard edge on the Axis and Axis Super Sport that bothers you then look into an old Axis Sport. All Ash body, still no arm contour on the top but the edges are more rounded and feel nice on the arm. The Axis pickups in an Ash body are also incredibly versatile.

Otherwise, a Silhouette Special is a must have EBMM.

Who's been covering this base while I've been gone? :)

YOU NEED A MORSE!

Most are your preference of hardtail - can get jiggy wid it and do the original multi-switch (my favorite) - or if you lean more towards rock then the Y2D for simplicity. Available with both "regular" and "roasted maple" necks, numerous special run colors and, if you prefer a bigger neck, can find a first-run Dark Lord which is a fistful of neck.

I'd suggest to try a Silhouette. That's the model the MM-journey has begun with. From time to time there is also a non-trem version offered in the vault. So watch out !
