How many of you have nothing but Musicman basses?
Call me a freak but the Stingray family is the bass for me.
In addition to my Stingray5 and Stingray4 fretless, I'm currently GASing for a Stingray 4 fretted with a maple neck. Not too urgent, but it seems to be next on the list (the Peavey Cirrus5, Warwick Thumb and '62 P-Bass are a distant 2,3 and 4, respectively
)
The SR5 would be my main bass, the fretless SR4 would be my MWAH machine and the fretted SR4 would be my Weapon of Slap Destruction. I just love the string spacing on the SR4, I slap on the fretless (mellow P-bass style slap) and I slap on the SR5 (great tone, but I keep knocking that B
)
I've ruled out the Bongo...that damn neck pickup doesn't allow me to pop any strings
Damn you Music Man! If only you made the SR5 with a wider neck and string spacing I wouldn't have this problem! Garrrrrgh!!!
