Question 12 string electric

So I bought two packs of Hybrid Slinky Cobalt to make up a 12 string set. But I was short of 9 and 11. So I bough these from generic EB single strings. Am I correct in assuming that the 9 and 11 guage in the cobalt series is same as any other EB strings? Even though I am happy with the sound, there is this possible mismatch that bothers me. Any advice regarding this will help. Note the generic strings are used in the 3rd and 4th string positions.

Yes. The plain strings are the same high carbon steel as normal Slinkys. The Cobalt alloy is used only on the wound strings.

Ernie ball make 12 string sets too. I've just received some 8's from eBay and they are great
