Hi. Recently I bought a 12 string guitar. I bought Earthwood 12 string light. I understand about the octaves but I have 3 12 gauge strings. Shouldn’t I have 4 of them? So now I do not know how to pair all correctly. I have 3-12s 3-9s 2-26s 1-20w 1-20 1-36 and 1-46. Can someone give me a hand and tell me the correct match-ups by either string number or by low E high E etc ?

Thank you ! Jdtex

No, you should have 3 12's.

High E 9 and 9
B 12 and 12
G 20w and 9
D 26w and 12
A 36w and 20p
E 46w and 26w

(w is wound, p is plain)
