I bought this on ebay as a whim and it has turned out to be my favorite guitar ever. I changed the pickups to an EMG 81 Chrome and had a new guard made for it. Here are the before and after shots. What a great guitar, thank you Mr. Ball.

Looks funky with the red PG, nice job. Where'd you get the pup cover?

Interesting look...if you love it that way that's the most important thing. I would personally maybe go with plain black, which would give it a little more contrast with the red paint job, maple board and the chrome bucker. Its cool that EMG offers the chrome covers now. I'm guessing you dont use other pickups much other than the bridge?

Love it! Are the dots on the headstock from the string trees?

Thanks....Yes that is what the dots are from. They are actually the old screws. I have the string tree, but the guitar has locking tuners so not really needed anymore. I have thought about putting it back on to see how it might affect the string break angle if any.

What are the white pickups that where in it?
Hi Colin,
The guitar had the original schaller humbucker that came in the guitar, but the single coils were Seymour Duncan STK-S1's in both positions. I believe the single coils were schaller as well from the factory. I am keeping the old guard and pickups just in case I ever want to put it back the way I got it.

Looks like Ferrari now, man! :)

That was my first thought too when I saw it - absolutely smokin'!!! If it were mine I'd be hiding a small Ferrari logo on there somewhere - like the back of the headstock. Stunning piece, my man! Just stunning!
