Hello there,

Yesterday I've purchased a 1989 Silhouette with old schaller tremolo. The guitar itself is rad, but strings are tad too high for my preferences (pictures attached), and I could not find out how to regulate it. Every of help would be appreciated :)
Thanks in advance,
Tim

Doesn't matter what trem. First, new strings. Then get trem level by adjusting the springs in around back. Then set neck relief with truss rod. Then set action at bridge and check intonation. Rinse, repeat. A good tech can do this for you.

Nah, not the case - I'm doing every kind of service work with my guitars, apart from fretwork. This thing just won't go deeper into the body

If you can't lower the heights of the saddles and the bridge won't lower, then you'll probably have to put a shim in the neck pocket to raise it up.
