Hi All , seaming what a noligable bunch you all are i need help determining whether my 1990 morse signiture guitar is deteriating. The neck is laquered with heavy birds eye maple , i've recently started using the guitar again but i noticed the neck has become very sticky and it feels like some of the birds eye is thining the laquer on the neck ( laquer seems pitted ) . The guitar has been looked after only played by me , not gigged and in immaculate condition (bought it from a guitar collector 14 yrs ago unplayed in its case) .Has anyone got any veiws on this please .THIS IS MY FIRST POST BUT HAVE SPENT LONG HOURS LOOKING AT ALL YOUR WONDERFULL GUITARS .

Thanks for the quick reply , do you mean musicman customer service ? wonder if i can get a new neck out of them after 20 yrs . I will try and put some pictures on later (as long as its straight forward).
you can definitely get a replacement neck but the cost of a new one compared to what I suspect is wrong wouldn't be worth the trouble.

musicman guitars have always been about the feel of the neck and the stickyness of mine just feels uncomfortable , and those birdseyes are definatly coming through the laquer. do you have any theory's yourself , do you think its just age , i feel like selling it to by an axis or someting (whats it worth ?)

Hey Lukather101,

First, welcome aboard.

Second, since you're a new guy, let me let you in on something: Big Poppa is Sterling Ball, the OWNER, yes, the big cheese at Ernie Ball/Musicman, so please do what he says and contact your dealer in the UK.

You can't get any better customer service than that.
