Today was the 1st time I rocked the new AL HH at practice. It was also the 1st time the Silhouette Special took a back seat for the most part in about 2 years. The AL just seems to have much more punch and sustain. Do not get me wrong, I still love the Silhouette Special and if I was more of a lead player I would probo stick with that since it has more of a mid / trebly range response. The Al HH reminds me of a LP with a lot more clarity. I feel you can hear the string separation real well, like each string has perfect articulation clean and distorted. Also in positions 2 & 4 it gives you a unique tone to the guitar itself. They sound amazing for a good clean finger style picking or the upstroke reggae / ska rhythms that I sometimes do. The body took me a little while to get adjusted to but now I feel it fits me like an old baseball glove. It is very well balanced. I play mainly a punk rooted style of music with a metal twist and I could not get this guitar to sound bad at all. Now I have and had my slew of guitars but this one has been what I think I have been looking for years for. Now one of my questions I have about the AL HH is what kind of Dimarzio pickups resembles the pickup the best in their line? I would not mind switching out the pickups in one of my other guitars to give a similar like tone. Now I wanted to give a big thanks to the guys at EBMM and BP for making such fine gear. Like I stated earlier my Silhouette Special has been my main guitar for about 2 years and now I have my AL, plus I am already thinking of what my next one will be. EBMM's are just everything I look for and what I want out of a guitar! Thanks!
