I have a spare 2-band EQ that I acquired on eBay some time ago. It's fully functional although it's missing the original volume pot. What's it worth?

Welcome to the Forum.
Big question is what the "A" taper stood for at that time.
It can either mean Audio or Log.
But "A" was also used to denote Linear.
All 3 will work

I correct that!
EB got the volume pot designation right in the schematics... ie 25K Log.
It's the Pre-EB schematics that use the "A" designation.

i messured it and it seems to be "A" like "Audio" 'cause it's linear.

I built up a control plate assembly recently with a 1977 black epoxy pre-amp. I tried the different tapers for the vol pot. To my ear, I detected no difference between them
But anyhow, it looks like I've hyjacked Daves thread. Sorry Dave

I think a 2 band replacement (with rectangular board) is about $50 USD. But you have to give the old one back. That's just the pre-amp circuit itself. The pots would have to be $5-10 each extra.

Sorry for the further hijacking...
My 89 Sabre is a 3 band and had a linear volume pot, denoted by "LIN" on the body. I put in an audio and it doesn't work so good. You get no volume until the last 1/4 turn and then it comes in abruptly. Anyone know where to get a 25K linear pot? EB still have them?

What you've described would normally be the result of using a linear taper for the Volume rather than a log (or audio) taper.
But, your vol pot is cleary marked LIN
I've tried both tapers for the vol and both work ok
Pots are available through EBMM. They may not have the earlier lug wiring hookup types which I think yours would be. The latter pots have pins for soldering direct to the circuit board. But that's not a prob. The pins are long enough to be bent around and have wires soldered directly to them.
